Jack DeJohnette (born 1942 in Chicago) is a drummer & piano player, recognized when one of a first jazzman since a 1960's. Besides a drums he exposed a piano, which he plays in many recordings. He 1st became called the member of Charles Lloyd's band, a band that Keith Jarrett also was a a share of at that instance. From either 1969 to 1972 he played with Miles Davis and recorded many albums for ECM as both leader & sideman. Since a Eighty's, he has been the member of what has be called Keith Jarrett's Standards Trio. He occurs as dazzling improvisor & the clear stylistic successor of the deuce greatest drummers of the Sixty's, Tony Williams and Elvin Jones. He with success incorporates elements of free jazz while maintaining the deep groove of an R&B drummer.
